愛的心.量. Love and its extent

我們先要了解自己的問題是什麼，才能去幫助別人的問題。

我們的愛心，是對真理了解多少，則所具足的愛心就有多大。我們真理如果了解少，我們就做的少，真理理解多就做的多，奉獻的尺度就很廣，所以說，對真理有相當的理解和信心是有相當的關係的，不管是那一國，我們先從我們的鄰居開始，能夠做到多少是看我們自己有多少的緣，你的緣不具足也就是能力不足時，即使想救一個人，你也做不到，因此，要了解自己有什麼能力幫助人，先要了解自己的能力之後，才知道要如何幫助人家，之後，也才逐漸地更有空間去幫助別人。

做善事的層面是很廣的，比如說，發明一種藥對愛滋病很有幫助，這也是一種方式。現在的公益範疇，包含了有醫療、救貧，有孤兒、有弱勢團體等等，看看我們的能力範圍在那裡，我們的興趣在那裡，再視我們在一定範圍內，自己要投入在那裡。

我們愛人的心量，也許可以先從愛這些沒有殺人的訓練起，到最後，再愛那些有殺人的，來慢慢擴大我們愛的範疇，真心想關懷這社會時，其實你會發現，仍有許多人正期待著被您所愛以及關懷。

Love and its extent

In order to help others, we must first understand our own problems.

Our benevolence depends on our level of comprehending the truth. If our understanding of truth is little, we will naturally dedicate less; if our understanding of truth is more, we will offer more, and our level of commitment will be higher. Hence, comprehending the truth and having confidence in it is very much linked to each other. No matter which country we are from, we start with our neighbours; the level in which we can help depends on the affinity we have. When your pratyaya is limited, your ability will be restricted; thus, even if you want to save someone, you will not be able to. Hence, to understand how you can offer your help, we must first understand your abilities, so that you will know how you can help; gradually, you will have more capacity to serve.

The levels of charity works are very broad, for example, to invent a drug that is very effective against AIDS is one way. Charities nowadays include medical, helping the poor, orphans, and the weak etc. It depends on our abilities and our interests, and our circumstances before deciding where we want to start helping.

For a start, we can practice to love those that did not kill, and eventually extend our love to those who kill. Gradually, the extent of our love will grow. You will soon realize that when you start loving the society with your heart, there are still many people awaiting for your love and concern.
